Realized:

It's good that we only have one life to live*... otherwise, how boring will our lives be? The lessons learned, the experience gained, people we met... We treasure them because they are unique and rare.

If life was as plentiful as the pennies in our pockets, if we had as many lives as the furs on a cat's back, then the lessons, experiences, friends... they're all common commodities, treated without respect or value.

And how boring would that be?

Then, really, what would be the point of having so many lives?

Be thankful that we have the chance to make mistakes, that we can’t turn back time, and that we can’t ever be perfect.

Ever.

*Or reincarnation, in which, it’s like we only have one life anyway.

Today, as we met up with each other again and doing the catch-up games, I kept envisioning the same group of people, aging over time. Remember how in high school, the big talk was who was doing what after graduation --- he's doing that after hs! or she got accepted to there.... Now in college, it's talk of who's doing what major, who's dating or engaged or marrying who, who's working for which company or going to which graduate school. And I keep seeing us later in life --- ohh! He got married now? About time! to She's has two kids now? Wow and as each segment of our lives passes, our conversations remains the same except for the topics:

"They named him as the godfather..."
"She moved to... for her job..."
"...Wow, so her kids are going to USC now?"
"They have really cute grandkids..."

And so on until we all become so old that we can't move out of our beds to see each other.

California people are cute. I can't count the number of times I see people walking around with their umbrellas because the sky's cloudy and the streets are wet.

Man, I wonder how they're going to react when it actually rains?
